Just checking in and updating

I have no idea what week number I'm on at this point in my dieting quest, and as you can imagine, things have just gotten extremely crazy due to birthdays and holidays. In order to exercise and eat right, some things had to go so that my goals did not suffer.

Since we are so close to the end of this year at this point and I previously created a blog entry regarding how I was to meet my New Year's resolution of eliminating the things that prevented me from keeping the resolution of getting healthy and losing weight in 2009, you can see that I stuck to it. lol. The blog had to go and still has to go, not completely, just not as frequently so that I can continue working on myself.

In hindsight, yes, I did eliminate all of the things that prevented me from tending to myself. Also, however, a lot of things suffer, but I have to make a conscious decision to forget about the fact that I accidentally pay a couple of bills late to work in the workouts. I'll survive, anxiously but survival no less. Trying not to sweat the small stuff.

I have lost weight, and I haven't weighed myself in a few weeks. I have maintained, and even lost another few pounds. I haven't been tracking Weight Watcher points and instead have been able to eat sensibly on my own to where I have not gained. More importantly, people are noticing and commenting that I've lost a ton of weight, which feels great. Most significant, however, is that I feel healthier. My clothes fit better, and I'm in fact wearing jeans again. I have muscles all over again and seem to be able to even have a bad week of fast food when on the run and not gain weight because of my workouts. I seemed to have switched up my metabolism. I'm stronger and I've noticed that hectic outings with the kids don't wear on me at all any longer, wherein they used to kick my butt, and muscles would get sore; they no longer do either.

Overall, things are going well. Crazy, but I'm managing. I'll come back soon and share how I was able to work in a sensible breakfast, which is a big deal for one who never ate breakfast, but I attribute a lot of my success to my breakfast smoothie!

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year to you all!

  2. Can you update us on how you are doing?

I have friends over at Nurture Center in San Fransisco, CA (they carry eco-friendly baby products like reusable diapers & water birthing tubs) and was wondering if you could add a link to their website on yours. In exchange I could add a link & review to your website on mine or they could make a monetary donation to you. Let me know if this interests you or if you are open to any other ideas from them.

Look forward to hearing back from you either way..... Thanks for taking the time to respond to me!!
